Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Welcome to an exciting new school year at St. Teresa of Avila School. As a newly appointed principal, I am thrilled to be a member of this vibrant school community.

Our school is blessed with a caring, talented staff who are committed to creating opportunities for students to share their wonderful gifts.  Included in our community is our parish, Sacred Heart.  Under the guidance and leadership of our parish priest, Fr. Jan, the students will have the opportunity to grow and learn about our faith through the sacraments and our daily prayer life.  Together we can provide our children a quality Catholic education and bring promise to this year's division's theme: Lord, light the path and I will lead others.

As always we are grateful for the support and limitless help from our parents.  We encourage you to become involved in your child's education.  We are always eager to welcome parent volunteers who may volunteer in a number of areas as well as serving on our school council.  We welcome our families to attend our many school events during the school year.

Dear Lord, as we begin this new school year,
we gather once again as your community of believers.
We thank you for the energy and the spirit
that you renewed in us through the summer months.
We thank you for the time to enjoy our family and
friends and to reflect on what is important in our lives.
Let this year be marked by enthusiasm, and love so that,
with the inspiration of your Spirit, we may continue to grow in our faith.
Help us to fulfill Your hope for us with honest intentions and works of faith.
Let us be gentle with ourselves and bring laughter, joy, and love to others.
We ask this in your name. Amen.

God Bless,
       Mrs. N. Zimmerman
