Dear Parents, Guardians and Friends,
Welcome to St. Teresa of Avila School and the new school year! Our school is a Catholic community of students, teachers, parents, parish and support staff working collaboratively to create a safe, caring, supportive, and academically challenging environment for your child. Our Catholic school community nurtures spiritual growth while promoting respect, understanding and appreciation across cultures.
Our school is blessed with a caring, talented staff committed to creating opportunities for students to share their God-given talents. Included in our community is our parish, Sacred Heart. For the past four years, Fr. Joe Wroblewski has provided us faith-filled guidance and leadership and we wish him God’s blessing as he continues his ministry serving the parish of St. Albert.
We welcome Father Tomasz Puslecki, our division’s Chaplin, who has been appointed Pastor beginning this September. With his guidance, our students will have the opportunity to grow and learn about our faith through the sacraments and our daily life. Working together as family, parish and school, we can provide our children a quality Catholic education and bring promise to this year’s division theme: God, let them see You in me.
Parents are a vital part of the St. Teresa of Avila School community. We are blessed with a vibrant School Council and we welcome you to our monthly meetings. Your contributions are invaluable to the school through volunteer time and support of school activities. I also encourage you to explore Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to learn more about our school community and opportunities for involvement.
This year we welcome the Kindergarten and Grade 1 classes from St. Patrick’s Community School who will be attending St. Teresa of Avila School while their school is undergoing a modernization process.
It is an honour and privilege to be able to serve our school community and I look forward to another amazing year!
